Message and Strategy for Winning Campaigns

Heidi at age 3

A member of the Kennedy team since 2004, Heidi has found the perfect niche for her obsessive organizational tendencies and her flair for the dramatic. As Senior Vice President and Creative Director, Heidi serves as an intermediary between Kennedy’s left and right brains to keep our mail and web designs looking sharp and while staying on message. In her “spare” time, she also moonlights as the company’s accounting and human resources departments.

Why politics? That's an easy one. Dismal performance in waitressing ruled out dreams of an acting career early on, turning Heidi to her next love – politics. Although, rumor has it, she still harbors hope Hollywood will call. (Headshots available upon request.) Nonetheless, Heidi has hit the stage as a direct mail lecturer for the Women’s Campaign School at Yale University sharing her experiences working with more than 100 campaigns spanning 15 states. From strategy and targeting to copywriting and graphic design, she’s done it all.

A navy brat who’s loaded her fair share of moving trucks, Heidi (mostly) grew up in Norfolk, Virginia. Her experiences with Virginia Girls State and The Washington Center led Heidi to Washington, D.C. where she earned a master’s degree from The George Washington University Graduate School of Political Management (GSPM). Prior to joining Kennedy, Heidi managed the communication efforts for a nonprofit media advocacy group.

Outside of the office, she can be found rolling out homemade pie dough, rummaging through the nearest shoe sale, and (albeit begrudgingly) at the gym. Heidi and her husband, Rich, are the proud owners of an extremely sweet and spoiled Pitbull-mix named Roxy.
